EXPANDED STATES PREPARATION, INTEGRATION & HARM REDUCTION
For psychedelic experiences, kundalini awakening, spiritual emergence, meditation and Holotropic Breathwork.

Some experiences are too vast to carry back alone — and too important to lose.

Expanded states can open profound shifts in perception, emotion, identity and our understanding of ourselves and the world. They can be deeply meaningful and transformative. They can also leave us confused, overwhelmed, emotionally raw, or unsure how to make sense of what has happened.

I offer therapeutic support before and after these experiences, bringing together my background as a neuroscientist and consciousness researcher with my work as a psychotherapy counsellor.

My role is not to induce or direct an expanded state, but to provide a grounded therapeutic space in which you can prepare psychologically, make sense of what has emerged, reduce potential harm, and integrate the experience into your life.

How the Work Unfolds

Initial consultation (free, 30 min, Online)

A first meeting. We begin with a free thirty-minute conversation, so you can tell me where you are, and we can both sense whether this work, and I, are right for you. There is no obligation beyond this call.

Peak Experience Preparation session(s)

Preparation, before an experience. If a psychedelic journey, a retreat, or another threshold lies ahead of you, we meet for a preparation session of one hour, to clarify your intention, ground the nervous system, and meet what may come with steadiness rather than fear.

Peak Experience Integration Intensive

The Integration Intensive is a deep dive into your peak experience. At the heart of this work is a single, unhurried session of three hours, in person where possible and online where not. Three hours offers what a single therapeutic hour cannot: the time to descend fully into what your experience opened, without watching the clock. A short check-in call follows in the days after, so the landing is held.

Follow-Up Integration Sessions

Flexible, expert advice when you need it. Book hourly support across a range of topics—from planning to problem-solving.

My Approach

01 | PREPARATION, NOT CONTROL

Profound experiences cannot be scripted or predicted. Rather than trying to control what unfolds, we cultivate clarity, intention, psychological readiness, and trust in the process ahead.

02 | SAFETY THROUGH GROUNDING

Transformation asks us to open beyond the familiar. Grounding practices, emotional awareness, and nervous system regulation provide a stable foundation for meeting whatever emerges.

03 | SCIENCE MEETS MYSTical

My work is informed by over a decade of research into consciousness alongside therapeutic practice. I honour both the measurable and the mysterious—without reducing either to the other.

04 | MEANING MAKING

Psychedelic journeys, meditation experiences, dreams, synchronicities, and spiritual openings often speak in symbols rather than explanations. Together we explore what these experiences may be asking of you.

05 | INTEGRATION INTO DAILY LIFE

The experience itself is rarely the destination. The deeper work lies in translating insight into relationships, decisions, creativity, embodiment, and the way you live your life.

06 | TRANSFORMATION AS A CONTINUING JOURNEY

Some experiences arrive as a single event. Others mark the beginning of a longer unfolding. My role is not to interpret your experience for you, but to help you stay in dialogue with what is emerging.

Whether This Work Is Right for You

This work may be appropriate if you are preparing for or making sense of an expanded-state experience and would like a psychologically grounded therapeutic space in which to explore it.

It may be particularly useful when an experience has left you changed, emotionally affected, uncertain about what happened, or with material that continues to unfold after the experience itself.

There are also circumstances in which this form of work may not be appropriate or may need to wait until additional support is in place.

It is not the right work if you are in acute crisis, in a manic state, or losing your footing in shared reality. What is needed first, in those moments, is psychiatric care and safety, and I will say so honestly and help you find the right support. Nor is it for those seeking to confirm a special identity or mission without touching what lies beneath it. This is descent, not escape.

Please note that I offer preparation and integration only. I do not provide, supply, or administer any substance. I do not offer a crisis or emergency service. If you are in crisis or need urgent help, please contact your GP, call NHS 111, or in an emergency call 999. The Samaritans can be reached at any hour on 116 123.
